ACS Extends IT Outsourcing Contract With City of Irvine, CA
DALLAS, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., (NYSE:ACS), a premier provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, announced today that it has signed a new three-year extension of its information technology (IT) outsourcing contract with the City of Irvine, California. The agreement, valued at more than $9.8 million, begins July 1, 2005 and runs through June 30, 2008.
"Based on the excellent support we are currently receiving, staff recommended an amended and restated information services agreement for continued services by ACS," said Jan Canevari, information technology administrator in the City's Administrative Services Department. "The restated contract will address changes in technology and corresponding changes in our infrastructure."
ACS has provided IT outsourcing services to the City of Irvine since 1995. Under terms of the contract extension, ACS will continue to manage IT operations and provide a broad range of services, including operation and support of the City's data center, help desk and desktop support, applications support, and network management, as well as consulting services to help the City align IT operations with its business objectives.
