On May 15, Lieberman will be officially inducted as a Cable TV Pioneer, along with 13 other established cable industry veterans including Jeff Bewkes, Time Warner's CEO, and Brian Roberts, Comcast's CEO. To be honored as a Cable TV Pioneer, executives must have a minimum of 20 years of direct involvement in the cable industry, during which time they must have made a meaningful contribution in building the industry as a whole. Cable TV Pioneers come from all areas of cable. They are the founders and presidents of MVPDs and cable networks, engineers and technicians, inventors, marketers, journalists and entrepreneurs. The one thing they all have in common is the huge contributions they have made to the growth of the industry and their communities.
