The Surfrider Foundation is the largest network of coastal defenders in the world, supported at the national level with policy, legal and science experts. Two Coasts: One Ocean is the annual bicoastal event that celebrates our accomplishments and the people who make that work possible while raising funds to sustain this effort. The events unite Surfrider's national mission in local communities from coast to coast.
Huka Entertainment, producers of large-scale destination music festivals like Pemberton Music Festival at the base of Mt. Currie in British Columbia and Tortuga Music Festival on the beaches of Fort Lauderdale, FL, is committed to preserving coastal environments and leaving the places their festivals occupy cleaner than when they arrived. At this past Tortuga Music Festival, Huka and the local Surfrider chapter organized a well-attended beach cleanup on the day after the event load-out that went well beyond the festival site to clean neighboring beaches. Together with Surfrider, Huka commits to raise awareness for coastal issues and to encourage their community to protect and preserve the local environments.
