Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh, Vice Chancellor, Mumbai University officially unveiled the Design
Media & Edutainment School, founded by Sathish Narayanan, with a vision to create the next
generation of design thinkers. Venu Vemula (Serial Entrepreneur and working at Google),
Professor Arularasan (Kumbakonam College of Arts & Crafts) and Ashish Kulkarni (Chairman,
FICCI AVGC) were chief guests at the launch of the school. Distinguished filmmaker Ramesh
Sippy sent his wishes to the new school, although he was unable to attend the launch due
to a last minute family emergency. The school aims to integrate design skills with
education to help creative young minds achieve their place in the design industry. The
school offers all encompassing courses in the world of art, design and animation. The
primary focus is to match the growing demand from the industry, with a keen interest in
learning and participating in today's design revolution.

aims to be at the forefront of design education and transformational thinking while
