Alliance for Women in Media Foundation Announces Robin Meade as Host and Ruth B as Entertainment for 41st Annual Gracies Luncheon
Local, Public and Student Winners to be honored June 21, 2016 at Cipriani on 42nd
WASHINGTON, May 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) is pleased to announce that Robin Meade, TV host, NY Times best-selling author, singer-songwriter and longtime anchor of HLN's "Morning Express with Robin Meade" will serve as the host of the 41st Annual Gracie Awards Luncheon. Canadian singer/songwriter Ruth B, known for the viral hit "Lost Boy," is set to perform. This annual event, which honors the accomplishments of women in media and entertainment at the local, public and student levels, will take place on June 21, 2016 at Cipriani on 42(nd) in New York City.

Before joining CNN Headline News (now HLN) Meade anchored and reported at Chicago's WMAQ, Miami's WSVN, Columbus' WCMH, Cleveland's WJW and Mansfield's WMFD. The Ohio native and former Miss Ohio graduated from Ashland University in Radio/TV Production, Performance & Programming and Political Science. She won the Young Alumnus Award, was inducted into the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame and bestowed the prestigious Gracie Award for Outstanding Anchor.

The Gracies, which recognize exemplary programming created by women, for women and about women in all facets of media, are presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Alliance for Women in Media that supports educational programs, charitable activities, public service campaigns and scholarships to benefit the public and women in the media.
National Gracies winners are recognized at the Gracies Gala, May 24, 2016 at The Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, California, while local, public and student winners will be recognized at the Gracies Luncheon, June 21, 2016, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. As previously announced, Joan Hamburg of WABC (Cumulus Media) will be honored with the Gracies Lifetime Achievement Award at the Gracies Luncheon.
