Media Alert - 40 Black Canadian filmmakers come together to launch Black Women Film! A new leadership program for emerging Black women filmmakers and media artists
TORONTO, April 29, 2016 /CNW/ - Black Women Film! (blackwomenfilm.ca) is excited to announce the launch of a new leadership program for Black women in Toronto at 6:00PM on April 29, 2016 at Nia Centre for the Arts, 96 Spadina Ave. In partnership with TIFF, Nia Centre for the Arts, Regent Park Film Festival and CBC, this first of its kind program will offer the opportunity to emerging filmmakers and media artists who are Black female identified of the Canadian African diaspora to forward their careers and practices in filmmaking.
This inaugural film leadership program will be hosted at TIFF Bell Lightbox, CBC and the Nia Centre for the Arts from May 21-31, 2016
