TORONTO, April 26, 2016 /CNW/ - Much announced today that stunning "it girl" Gigi Hadid returns to one of the biggest street parties on the planet, taking over as host of THE 2016 IHEARTRADIO CANADA MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. After making her MMVA debut as a presenter in 2015, Hadid returns to Canada to host the show, joining previously announced performers, Alessia Cara, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Nick Jonas. Airing live in exceptional 4K for the first time on Sunday, June 19 at 9 p.m. ET, THE 2016IHEARTRADIOMMVAs is simulcast on Much, CTV, Much.com, and Bell Media's French youth network, VRAK. It was also confirmed today that ETALK reporter and Much host Liz Trinnear, and Much and E! host Tyrone Edwards, are returning to co-host THE2016 IHEARTRADIO MMVAs. Additionally, it was announced E!'s Chloe Wilde and comedian and Much Digital Studios creator Jus Reign welcome the hottest celebrities to the #MMVAs carpet as hosts of THEIHEARTRADIOMMVA RED CARPET, airing Sunday, June 19 at 8p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Much and Much.com.

At age two, Gigi Hadid was discovered by Paul Marciano of Guess and modelled in campaigns for Baby Guess and Guess Kids. At age 17, she signed a modelling contract with IMG and now at only 21, Hadid has graced the runways of Marc Jacobs, Giles, Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Jeremy Scott, Chanel, and walked in Victoria's Secret 2015 Fashion Show.
