Filmed at the WorldArts headquarters in Los Angeles, CA and hosted on the WorldArts website and YouTube channel, TRANSMISSIONS was created and produced by Nude & Ginger Production Co., a production duo comprised of Nic Harcourt and Kita Klane. Harcourt is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential music tastemakers of the last 20 years. Through his radio and television shows he has helped launch the careers of such artists as Adele, Coldplay, Norah Jones, Interpol, and Florence & the Machine. Klane is a Los Angeles based producer and artist who has her finger firmly on the digital pulse. Klane directs the episodes, while Harcourt hosts.
This combination lends TRANSMISSIONS a unique advantage. Klane brings the artist's eye to the filming and editing process, instilling an intimate quality to the visuals in order to communicate the dynamics within the performance and music. Harcourt contributes his widely regarded curation expertise, depth of music industry experience and unmatched interview skills. The overall effect is highly stylized, immediately identifiable original music content.
WorldArts provides a global platform that helps artists bring their career to the next level by providing direct contact to fans, brands and industry professionals. In addition to original content series such as TRANSMISSIONS, WorldArts provides artists with key access and opportunities including video shoots, recording sessions, sales, and access to the Los Angeles based WorldArts stage.
"At WorldArts we understand what artists need to be able to make it and we're creating a viable platform for artists across a wide range of genres," said Larry Underwood, WorldArts CEO and Founder. "TRANSMISSIONS is our first original content series and it was key that the series reflect who we are. Partnering with Nic and Kita gives us a great platform to celebrate a wide-range of emerging and established artists."
"For TRANSMISSIONS we wanted to create something that felt intimate--that brought viewers up close to artists and gave the feeling that they were actually there witnessing the performance live," said Harcourt. "With its global platform, understanding of music and depth of offerings, WorldArts made for the perfect partner."
