Following the Game of Thrones Filming Sites: Sibenik, Split and Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik was the main Croatian film location for King's Landing, a fictional city in the fifth season of the series, and is supposedly still featured in season six, since the whole cast and production crew was spotted in Dubrovnik on October 8, 2015. For series' fans, a visit to Dubrovnik will be like being in the series, because no special measures were necessary for the Old Town of Dubrovnik to play the fortified port city of King's Landing.

Another great destination to discover the setting of the fantasy series is Split, with its surrounding cities and villages. The famous Diocletian Palace is one of the settings in season four and five for several scenes. The Cathedral of St. Jacob and Sibenik were used in season five for the set of the Iron Bank, the biggest bank in the Game of Thrones world.
