Returning Champions Rob McElhenney And Charlie Day Led Team To Victory At The 16th Annual Emmys® Golf Classic
TV Stars And Industry Leaders Golf For Good At Annual Benefit Hosted By The Television Academy Foundation
NOHO ARTS DISTRICT, Calif., Sept. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Top honors at the 16(th) annual Emmys(®) Golf Classic were taken by Kathryn Newton (Supernatural) and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney, who led their team to another victory at the Television Academy Foundation's annual event on Monday. The Foundation's largest fundraising event drew a diverse group of entertainment industry leaders and television stars and took place at the Wilshire Country Club for a second year in a row.
Additional celebrity golfers included Brian Baumgartner (The Office), Benito Martinez (American Crime), Christopher McDonald (Thelma & Louise), Gabriel Aubry, Joel Murray (Mad Men), John Pyper-Ferguson (The Last Ship), Kevin Nealon (Weeds), Mark Moses (Mad Men) and Scott Wolf (The Night Shift). They and a number of other stars participated in a full day of festivities, which included a full round of golf, putting contest and awards banquet.

Proceeds from the tournament will support the Foundation's educational programs, including the television industry college student internship program, the annual College Television Awards, select student scholarships and the online Archive of American Television. To help amplify fundraising efforts, celebrities also signed a one-of-a-kind Dooney & Bourke bag that will be auctioned off at the Foundation's annual Holiday Auction.
