Pure Land Foundation and Bruno Wang Support Unique Music and Dance Charity Performance
LONDON, September 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
The Pure Land Foundation and Bruno Wang are delighted to support a unique music and
dance charity performance tonight, led and choreographed by Royal Ballet soloist Fernando
Montaño.
Fernando Montaño and friends will be hosted at the Royal College of Music and will
also feature the star of the Paris Opera Ballet, Isabelle Ciaravola, and English National
Ballet Senior Principal Ballerina, Elena Glurjidze.
The event brings together a group of Fernando Montaño's talented friends from around
the world to raise funds for two charities: Children of the Andes and the Playing for
Change Foundation.
Children of the Andes, of which Mr Montaño is Patron, works with children and their
families in Colombia to challenge poverty, inequality, discrimination and violence.
The Playing for Change Foundation aims to bring about positive change for young people
through music and arts education. It works in countries including Bangladesh, Brazil,
Ghana, Mali, Nepal, Rwanda, South Africa, and Thailand.
Mr Wang said: "I am delighted to support this unique evening of music and dance in aid
of two important charities. Both the Playing For Change Foundation and Children of the
Andes make a real and positive difference to the lives of young people in difficult
circumstances.
"I would like to thank Fernando Montaño for all his hard work arranging what will be a
spectacular evening, as well as all the dancers and musicians who are taking part."
Amongst the musicians who are generously giving their time to support the event are
soprano Dorothea Herbert, pianist Sergey Rybin, violinist Wilford Goh, cellist Yaroslava
Trofymchuk, Gipsy Kings' guitarist David Buckingham, singer-songwriter Alice Ella and
salsa duo Sami Rodriguez Stanton and Roxanne Stanton.
Dame Vivienne Westwood has designed Mr Montaño's costume for the performance.
