Media Advisory - CBC/Radio-Canada's Annual Public Meeting: Invite, Ignite, Inspire
WINNIPEG, MB, Sept. 24, 2015 /CNW/ - CBC/Radio-Canada invites the media to attend its Annual Public Meeting themed Invite, Ignite, Inspire.
When: Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 12pm (CDT)
Where: Convocation Hall of the University of Winnipeg, 515 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
Members of the media wishing to attend the event via webcast can do so by logging on to www.cbc.radio-canada.ca/apm.
Details: This year, our Annual Public Meeting will showcase four young Winnipegers who are making a difference in their communities by pushing the boundaries, re-shaping their environment and inspiring others to do the same. These four young Winnipegers are:
-- Tresor Namwira
-- Jamil Mahmood
-- Erica Daniels
-- Janelle Wookey
The APM will be emceed by Marcy Markusa, host CBC Radio One Manitoba and Carla Oliveira, host, le Téléjournal Manitoba. The following panelists will also participate in the discussion:
-- Talia Schlanger, Host, Weekend Morning, CBC Radio 2
-- Raphaël Grenier-Benoit, actor, Les Parent, producer, Raphaël, citoyen

Before the discussion begins, Rémi Racine, Chair of CBC/Radio-Canada's Board of Directors and Hubert T. Lacroix, President and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada will both deliver remarks.
Hubert T. Lacroix will be available to answer questions from the media during a scrum at 1:30 p.m. at the end of the event.
Members of the media are asked to arrive by no later than 11:30 a.m. and are asked to register at a table near the entrance at Convocation Hall.
Please note that for production reasons, any media participants with cameras will be required to remain in the back of room during the APM.
