Élections 2015 - le grand débat - Over 1.2 million Canadians watched the first French-language debate

OTTAWA, Sept. 30, 2015 /CNW/ - Canada's largest broadcast partnership - Radio-Canada, La Presse, Télé-Québec, CBC News, CTV News and Global News - announce that more than 1.2 million Canadians watched élection 2015 - le grand débat, broadcast and streamed live across multiple platforms on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Average audience on television(1)

Approximately 803,000 Canadians watched the debate on ICI Radio-Canada Télé (580,000), ICI RDI (140,000), Télé-Québec (82,000) and CPAC (<1000).

Over 306,000 Canadians watched the debate with simultaneous translation on CBC News Network, CTV News Channel and CPAC.

Élections 2015 - le grand débat was viewed over 105,000 times on ICI Radio-Canada.ca, facebook.com/ICIRadioCanada, lapresse.ca, CBC News, CTVNews.ca, CPAC.ca, Globalnews.ca, and on YouTube Canada: Election 2015.

The broadcast partners are pleased with the interest that has been generated by this important democratic exercise.
