DJ Snake And AlunaGeorge's Breakout Hit "You Know You Like It" Certified Platinum

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DJ Snake and London duo AlunaGeorge's breakout hit "You Know You Like It" has been certified platinum by the RIAA.

The French DJ and producer DJ Snake (AKA William Grigahcine) posted his remix of "You Know You Like It" to his Soundcloud two years ago. In November 2014 after high demand from fans all over the world, Island UK/Interscope Records officially released it giving the song the recognition it deserved and it has become a blockbuster hit. The song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Rhythmic charts, No. 7 at Top 40, and No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also the most Shazamed song in the U.S. for five straight weeks over the summer and has collected 15.9 million Shazam tags to date. "You Know You Like It" has also racked up nearly 130 million Spotify plays and nearly 58 million YouTube views. Watch the video here.

DJ Snake has had an incredible summer, scoring three simultaneous hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "You Know You Like It," the gold-certified "Get Low" with Dillon Francis, and the platinum-certified "Lean On," with Major Lazer (feat. MO), which also hit No. 1 on the Top 40 chart and is the 11(th) Most Shazamed song of all time.

"You Know You Like It" is the official follow-up to the Grammy-nominated producer and artist's previous single "Turn Down for What" with Lil Jon, which was the biggest electronic dance song of last year. The track climbed to No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Rhythmic charts and No. 4 on the Hot 100, and has sold more than five million copies in the U.S. alone. The music video for "Turn Down For What," which won an MTV VMA for "Best Direction," has racked up more than 290 million views on VEVO.

DJ Snake is currently putting finishing touches on his debut album, which will be released by Interscope Records later this year.
