Ukuleles for Ukraine Project to Bring Music & Aid to Ukrainian Orphans
Encinitas, California native and musician Quinn Boylan will be bringing ukuleles and clothing to an orphanage in Cherkasy, Ukraine as part of a paying it forward program sponsored by his employer Path Intelligence and Lick the Plate on KPRI. A documentary will also be filmed to capture the endeavor and resulting concert.
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Seeking a way to give back to those less fortunate by giving the gift of music and much needed clothing and supplies, Quinn Boylan has created this unique program he is calling 'Ukuleles for Ukraine'. Having played in bands growing up in San Diego and knowing the positive impact that learning an instrument has played in his life, Quinn wanted to create a similar opportunity for the orphans in this volatile part of the world. He will be joined by UK-based music activist Mark Griffiths along with film students to teach the 100 children ukulele; documenting their musical learning process while showcasing the situation in Ukraine. His employer, Path Intelligence has encouraged his efforts by granting a leave of absence donation to the cause. Lick the Plate on KPRI, the popular San Diego food and music focused radio show has also lent their support by providing pro-bono marketing and production services.

"I've been very fortunate growing up having a supportive family that encouraged music and giving-back. I wanted to find a way to share my skills with the less fortunate, possibly enriching their lives with music along with tangible items like clothing, medicine and shoes. I will provide these orphans with very basic, beginner level instruction on an easy-to-play ukulele, teach them a few songs, then bring them together in a concert performance. Hopefully the love of music sticks with a few of them and their confidence & creativity will increase. Mark and I will be filming the entire process to raise awareness." Said Quinn Boylan, founder of Ukuleles for Ukraine.
Jeremy Langley, Chief Marketing Officer at Path Intelligence was equally enthused about Quinn's efforts. "Path Intelligence encourages our employees to take on charitable endeavors like this. It's a great way for them to broaden their horizons, recharge their batteries, and step out of their day-to-day business focus and Quinn's creativity and desire to provided these orphans with basic human supplies or even just an appreciation of music that will last a lifetime is commendable."

About Path Intelligence
Founded in 2004, Path Intelligence offers dynamic, data-driven insights into shopper behavior, to fill the data void experienced by retailers who could previously only evaluate consumer needs and behaviors at the final point of sale. Research demonstrates that 80% of shoppers spend between 20-40 minutes in a store without buying anything, indicating a substantial knowledge gap in how outlets currently meet customer expectations.
Mirroring the advantages that 'Web Analytics' bring to online retailers, Path Intelligence detects signals from mobile devices. The signal detected is instantly 'hashed' to ensure total anonymity and privacy and is then combined with proprietary mathematical algorithms to map visitor journeys. By using the mobile device as proxy for a shopper, Path Intelligence helps its customers understand shopper behavior, the relationship between retail brands, and the performance of different departments or stores. Maximizing store income and optimizing the shopper experience; the technology offers significant benefits to shoppers and retailers alike.
