Tribune Broadcasting Names Bart Feder Senior Vice President of News
Seasoned Local Newsroom Executive Joins Tribune on March 2
NEW YORK, Feb. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tribune Broadcasting today announced the appointment of Bart Feder to Senior Vice President of News. Feder, an accomplished local news leader who most recently served as a top executive at CNN, will be responsible for overseeing all news operations and news production for Tribune Broadcasting's 42 owned or operated stations. He will begin his new duties on March 2 and report to Larry Wert, Tribune's President of Broadcast Media.
With over 25 years of experience in television newsrooms, Feder most recently spent five years at CNN where he was SVP of Current Programming responsible for the operation and editorial direction of all Primetime and Morning News programs, as well as the network's Investigative, Documentary and Medical Units. Prior to his position at CNN, Feder was Chairman and CEO of The FeedRoom, a pioneer in online video, live streaming and digital asset management for media organizations.

Feder has held executive management positions at WABC/New York, WHDH/Boston, WJXT/Jacksonville and KOVR/Sacramento. He has also held producer positions at WNEV/Boston, and WOR/New York, after serving as a News Writer at CBS Radio and Tribune's WPIX in New York. He began his career at 1010 WINS Radio in New York. Feder has been honored with numerous local and national journalism awards, including the prestigious DuPont Columbia Silver Baton.

Feder holds a Bachelor of Art in Business Management and Economics from the State University of New York at Empire State College. He currently serves on the board of Kula for Karma, which promotes the use of therapeutic yoga into mainstream healthcare.
