Legendary 10 Time Grammy Winner Chaka Khan to Appear in Groundbreaking Faith Inspired Musical

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned actor Harry Lennix ("The Blacklist," "Man of Steel") and 2015 double Grammy nominee Mali Music (Best Urban Contemporary Album for his debut, Mali Is and Best Gospel Performance, I Believe) unveiled the first look at the trailer for "REVIVAL! THE EXPERIENCE," in advance of the film's scheduled 2015 release. A musical motion picture event, "REVIVAL! THE EXPERIENCE" is the story of the gospel according to John the Apostle and stars singer/songwriter Mali Music as Jesus and actor / writer / producer Lennix as Pontius Pilate.

Directed by Obba Babatunde ("Miss Evers' Boys," "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge") and Danny Green ("Mr. Sophistication") from a screenplay by Lennix and Holly Carter ("Preachers of L.A.") the film presentation of this timeless story is told by dramatizing supremely constructed original contemporary and gospel music that helps recount the mission, ministry and miracles of Jesus.
