EL CAJON, Calif., Jan. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Taylor Guitars is pleased to announce its artist lineup for the 2015 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, January 22-24. This year brings a mix of notable songwriters, emerging artists, and an invitation for fans around the globe to join in through livestream viewing.
The performances kick off on the first day of the show, Thursday, January 22, at 4:00 p.m. with rising country newcomer and Red Bow recording artist Chase Bryant. The debut single from the native of Orange Grove, Texas, "Take It On Back," ranked as a Top 15 hit and is one of the fastest rising singles of 2014 by a male country artist. Bryant is fresh from touring arenas as part of Brantley Gilbert's LET IT RIDE Tour and later this year will join country crooner Tim McGraw on the road. Following Bryant are fellow Nashville-based artists The SteelDrivers. The band's meld of bluegrass with country, soul, and other contemporary influences has earned them major recognition, including three Grammy nominations, four International Bluegrass Music Association awards, and the Americana Music Association's New Artist of the Year award. The band's third album, Hammer Down, is due for release in February.
On Friday, indie rockers Blondfire will take the stage at 4:00 p.m. A collaboration between brother and sister duo Erica and Bruce Driscoll, the group channels the synth-pop flavors of British new wave bands like Depeche Mode and New Order with an independent pop/rock feel. The duo will be followed by retro soul rockers Vintage Trouble. The band has earned a legion of passionate followers, better known as "Troublemakers," from here to the UK, where their album topped Amazon's best-sellers list. Led by Ty Taylor (vocals), Nalle Colt (guitar), Richard Danielson (drums) and Rick Barrio Dill (bass), the band will take the stage at 5:00 p.m.
Saturday will feature three performers, starting with guitarist, singer and songwriter Zane Carney at 3:00 p.m. Carney has established himself as a go-to guitarist for producers including Justin Timberlake and has toured the world many times over with artists from a mix of genres, most recently with John Mayer. As a solo artist, Carney's melodic approach to storytelling and deft fretwork has drawn acclaim from some of the industry's most notable critics. Following Carney, emerging act and reality TV winners Alex & Sierra will perform. The duo won the 2013 season of X-Factor, and their debut album, It's About Us, was released in October 2014 and quickly climbed to No. 8 on Billboard's Hot 100 list.
Closing out the day's performances will be Boyce Avenue. Comprised of brothers Alejandro (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Fabian (guitar, vocals), and Daniel Manzano (bass, percussion, vocals), the trio shot to web stardom through YouTube, where the band is ranked as the site's top independent streamed artist, having amassed over a billion views. Last year, the band released its five-song EP, No Limits, and toured in support of the album.
Fans not at the show will be able to watch the artist performances by visiting www.taylorguitars.com/namm where each afternoon Taylor will be live-streaming artist performances, interviews, and other happenings from its showcase room at NAMM.
