Bay Area Chorus of Greater Houston Presents UNITY Concert in February
The concert UNITY will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena, Texas and will continue to honor past BAC directors during its 50th Anniversary Season: LOOK TO THE FUTURE
HOUSTON, Jan. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bay Area Chorus of Greater Houston announces the fifth concert of its Fiftieth Concert Season LOOK TO THE FUTURE at First United Methodist Church of Pasadena TX, 1062 Fairmont Parkway on February 22, 2015, Sunday, 4:00 P.M. Continuing to honor some of the past BAC Directors during its 50(th) Anniversary Season, the BAC honors Rob Seible, BAC Director, 1988-1995. The Guest Choirs include: VOX - The Rob Seible Singers under the direction of Rob Seible and the Concert Choir of San Jacinto College Central under the direction of Dr. Paul Busselberg. The BAC under the direction of new Artistic Director, Milton Pullen, will sing:

Howard Hansen's One Hundred and Fiftieth Psalm; Brahms' Create in Me; Mark Wilberg's Shenandoah; and Pullen's arrangement of Amazing Grace among other pieces. Seible will conduct the final number of the concert with the combined choirs in Beethoven's Hallelujah from the Mount of Olives.
Rob Seible, the Founder and Artistic Director of VOX -The Rob Seible Singers, continues to inspire the success of the group he created in 2007 to explore vocal artistic expression. From selecting the music and organizing the concert schedule to masterfully directing each work, Rob infuses his passion for innovative concepts of ensemble performance. Currently choirmaster at Bering Memorial United Methodist Church, Rob recently retired as choral director of the esteemed Houston High School for the Performing and Visual Arts after 34 years in public education. In addition, Rob is serving as an adjunct faculty member for Houston Grand Opera's High School Voice Program and summer vocal camps, and continues at HSPVA as adjunct faculty accompanist and vocal coach. Rob is also chorus master/assistant conductor for the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston's summer productions. Rob served for many years on the faculty of TUTS/Humphrey's School of Musical Theater, as director of the Bay Area Chorus (1988-1995), and musical director for the Galveston Island Outdoor Musicals.
