Cold Glass Sculptor Jack Storms Showcases Pieces From Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" Thursday, December 11, At Beverly Hills' Exclusive Collections Gallery
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Jack Storms thrilled Marvel fans around the globe with his cube and teardrop pieces in the summer blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy - now, Los Angeles can experience his work up close and personal! On Thursday, December 11, the Exclusive Collections Gallery (ECG) of Beverly Hills will display 14 original sculptures from Jack's private collection, showcasing the best of the artist's rare vein of talent.
"I can't wait to meet everyone," said Jack. "The holidays are a perfect time to show off the sparkles my artwork represents!"
Jack opened StormWorks Studios in 2002 and before Marvel executives approached him in 2013, he was commissioned to create unique pieces commemorating Derek Jeter's historic 3,000th baseball hit, the Fireman's Bell sculpture for the City of Pleasanton's Firehouse Arts Center and a gift to the President of Nigeria in honor of Africa's first blood bank.
Thursday's exhibit is Jack's first showing at ECG. The prestigious venue was considered the perfect place to display his one-of-a-kind glass sculptures and illuminate the bright colors, fine cuts and shimmering reflections conjured forth by his Fibonacci technique.
"We're very happy to share an artist of Jack Storms' caliber with our community," said an ECG rep. "His work is representative of our drive to give collectors an experience that's truly unique to our gallery."
Hor d'oeuvres, drinks, music and a meet & greet with the artist himself will highlight the gallery showing.
Please RSVP by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, at Eileen@EKCPR.com or 310.441.1000.
