BIMM Institute, Former School of Tom Odell, George Ezra & James Bay, Changes Name to Reflect International Status and Launches New Website

BRIGHTON, England, December 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

- The BIMM name now stands for The British and Irish Modern Music Institute
- BIMM's Fulham-based Tech Music School is now known as BIMM London
- New BIMM website showcases rapidly-growing institute's many successful alumni

The BIMM group has grown at an incredible rate; from a sole college in Brighton to a
group of five in the UK and Ireland.

BIMM's approach is working, and their alumni are flying high: James Bay just won the
BRITs Critics' Choice Award 2015, Tom Odell won the same award in 2013 and is providing
the music for this year's John Lewis Christmas advert, Zara McFarlane won a MOBO Best Jazz
Act and George Ezra landed a number one album.

To reflect the group's international status and successes, the name "BIMM" now stands
for The British and Irish Modern Music Institute.

And to underline BIMM's position as the UK and Ireland's best-connected modern music
college, the new BIMM Brand Promise is being promoted as its central ethos: "Connected to
a life in music."

Vaseema Hamilton, Principal of BIMM's London, Brighton and Bristol colleges, said:
"The music industry can seem a secretive and impenetrable place. At BIMM our main aim is
to get our graduating students better connected than anybody else - so that on leaving,
the industry is a place which they feel confident to be part of."

Included in the brand refresh is a new name for the Fulham-based Tech Music School,
which is brought into the BIMM family under the name BIMM London.

Vaseema Hamilton said: "By becoming BIMM London, the Tech Music School students will
now join our connected network of centres, where they can become contributors to the
creative landscape of the future in contemporary music, and be cultural creators of
history."

After months of consultation with leading digital design agency 383 Project, BIMM is
proud to launch its new website, which will better communicate the BIMM Institute's aims
and successes and showcase BIMM's strong connections to the music industry.

Joanne King, Head of Marketing for BIMM said, "It was really important to create a
website that fully reflects the breadth of expertise and opportunities students experience
- whilst also connecting with the differing musical tribes that make up our student
population."
