"Ngong Ping 360's Got Talent", which will debut in Christmas 2014, is organised by Ngong Ping 360 to encourageHong Kong performers to pursue their dreams, and spread the unyieldingHong Kong spirit among the audiences through their performance. To encourage more local performers to prove their mettle and talent, there is no entry threshold, andHong Kong residents of any age and sex are welcome to take part in the competition. To ensure comprehensive and fair judgement of the contestants' performances, Ngong Ping 360 is going to invite special "Star" judges to form a professional judging panel for the final. The panel will includeAdason Lo, a famous local singer and the champion of a TV singing contest;Det Dik, a street dancer and the winner of numerous dance competitions;Joey Leung, a beloved local theatre actor; andLouis Yan, an internationally recognized champion magician and Hong Kong's "Magic Icon".
An open recruitment for "Ngong Ping 360's Got Talent" was held from 1 to 23 November. The champion, first runner-up, second runner-up and the winner of the "Most LIKED Award", emerge after several rounds of selection will receive cash prizes ofHK$20,000, HK$10,000, HK$5,000 and HK$3,000, respectively, plus the golden opportunity to showcase their performances on the grand stage at Ngong Ping 360 during 25–28 December 2014 and on1 January 2015. This marks the first timethat Ngong Ping 360 will open its outdoor stage to amateur performers, who will be able to share exceptional multi-sensory experiences with audience members from around the world.
Moreover, this holiday season, guests will be able to take photos at Ngong Ping 360, where movie-themed decorations, includinga white Christmas tree adorned with films, a giant film roll, a clapper board and Christmas balls, glittering star-shaped frames, anda giant musical note decorated with Christmas ornaments, will be featured.
