Women of Power is designed to appeal to anyone determined to learn the formula for gaining wealth, health, and success. The show features a top-notch team of reporting talent, led by Clarke, an award-winning journalist, author and speaker (previously host of the network syndicated Black Enterprise Business Report), veteran business journalist Shartia Brantley and lifestyle and entertainment correspondent Dariany Santana.
"Women of color are often still isolated in their industries, their companies, and their communities and that makes life more difficult than it has to be. So we're bringing the community to them," says Clarke. "We may have different skin tones, ages, cultures and ethnicities, but in striving to succeed in this society, we have a commonality of experience that is important to share. We have so much to give to and learn from each other -- and Women of Power is the perfect place to do it."
Produced by Black Enterprise and Central City Productions, this series builds on the popularity of the Black Enterprise Women of Power multimedia franchise, best known for the annual Women of Power Summit. The Summit is America's preeminent leadership conference for women of color, set to be held at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, March 2-5, 2015. The premiere of Women of Power is an exciting milestone as the Women of Power Summit celebrates its 10(th) anniversary.
"Whether you're a high-powered executive or a woman of power in training, you must tune in to Women of Power for uplifting stories, invaluable information, and news you can use. By doing so, I guarantee you will embrace your power every day," said Earl "Butch" Graves Jr., President and CEO of Black Enterprise.
Women of Power will provide viewers with intimate, in-depth looks into the lives of some of the world's most accomplished women, such as tennis legend Venus Williams, Xerox Corporate CEO Ursula Burns, crisis-management expert and Scandal inspiration Judy Smith. The show boasts weekly features including Power Suite, Power of the Purse, Luxe Life, Power Forward and Woman-to-Woman, with special features on entrepreneurship, finance, celebrity interviews, health and relationships and work-life balance. The show will also share the strategies and success secrets of the most successful women, including time management skills, managing money and relationships, as well as advice for those who aspire to duplicate their achievements.
Black Enterprise was one of the first business media companies to fully explore the trials and triumphs of female entrepreneurs and executives. The Women of Power television show combines the exciting stories of the world's most influential and inspiring women, along with sharing the skills, strategies and lifestyle choices that took them to the top and keeps them ahead of the curve. Women of Power is dynamic, inspiring, and poised to share the view from the top.
