TransMedia To Perform Publicity Overture For Concerts By Steinway Artist Elena Klionsky, Who Some Call 'The Piano Phoenix' For How She Overcame Severe Hand Injury
BOCA RATON, Fla., Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TransMedia Group said it was retained to provide a crescendo of publicity for concert pianist Elena Klionsky's upcoming "Chopin at the Chalfonte." The Steinway Artist's concert series at The Chalfonte here will benefit Alzheimer's Association Southeast Florida Chapter.
TransMedia said its publicity will highlight her awesome career achievements from playing the piano at age five in her native St. Petersburg, Russia, her exemplary academic achievements at The Juilliard School of Music to her highly-acclaimed solo recitals, orchestral appearances and TV and radio performances worldwide.
"We're honored to represent such an accomplished, world-class virtuoso pianist as Elena Klionsky," said Tom Madden, TransMedia CEO, who inherited his love of classic music from his violinist father who played with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and with The Boston Pops under maestro Arthur Fiedler.
"Our publicity will focus also on Elena's miraculous comeback from a severe injury to her right hand, nearly ending her brilliant career," said Madden.
"For years she struggled to regain motion in her fingers and today she is nicknamed 'Piano Phoenix' for her rise from the physical trauma in 2002 to become a Steinway Artist and once again grace the world's concert stages with her artistry.
"Elena is back after almost seven years of continuous physical therapy and dedicated practicing, which has made her an inspiration to people facing physical challenges everywhere," said Madden.
TransMedia said it will kick off the PR campaign with a publicity overture for her upcoming concert series here comprising three musical afternoons starting with "Holidays in Provence," scheduled for 3 PM Sunday, Dec. 28, featuring French Music for Violin and Piano with Tatiana Berman on violin, followed by French afternoon coffee and pastries.
"Then our publicity will segue to Chopin at the Chalfonte 4 PM on Sunday, Jan. 25, featuring piano music of Frederic Chopin performed by Klionsky, followed by Polish/French afternoon tea.
Publicity reaches a high water mark for concluding concert "Water World," featuring "seaphonic" Music and Painting 5 PM Sunday, Feb. 22, accompanied by seascapes by Elena's sister, Nadia Klionsky, a noted painter as is their celebrated father. Elena will play such pieces as Ravel's Jeux d'eau and Liszt's Venezia e Napoli, followed by seafood buffet.
