Sacred Bull Media Releases The Mirage

Inspiring Documentary Set to Premiere at The Philadelphia Film Festival

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sacred Bull Media will premiere its latest film "The Mirage", a beautifully filmed and directed documentary, at the Philadelphia Film Festival. "The Mirage" tells the inspiring story of Peter Kalikow, now a New York City Real Estate magnate and public figure, seeking to complete his lifelong dream, almost extinguished 40 years ago, of building his own car from the ground up.

"The Mirage" takes us on the ups and downs of Peter's journey to achieve his dream. Starting in the late-60s, when Peter was an idealistic and passionate 20-something who put everything on the line to design and produce the perfect car: The Momo Mirage. Working with pioneers of the European automotive industry he created a vehicle that effortlessly fused European sophistication with American reliability. That car, the Momo Mirage, immediately enjoyed great success, gracing the cover of Road & Track magazine in December of 1971 and debuting to critical acclaim at the 1972 New York International Auto Show. Three short months after its debut, fate struck, production was quickly halted, and only two of the planned 150 cars were completed. Due to the inflated prices of manufacturing and no foreseeable end to the Italian labor unrest, Kalikow was left with thousands of automotive parts and a stalled vision.

Now a pragmatic but still very passionate 70-something, Peter Kalikow is revisiting the project he dreamed up four decades ago. "The Mirage" documentary utilizes both historical and contemporary footage to tell Kalikow's story and offers viewers a rare insider glimpse into the world of automotive design.

As current Chairman of the Grand Central Partnership and President of the real estate firm, H.J. Kalikow & Company, Peter has garnered many impressive accolades such as The Harry Helmsley Award, the Award for Excellence by the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater New York for the development of 101 Park Avenue, and the Golden Circle Award. For his public service commitments, he has earned the Commendatore in the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, one of the highest honors bestowed by the Government of Italy and the Peace Medal, Israel's highest civilian award for his many years of public service aiding the nation's development. Kalikow's illustrious career has also included former positions as Chairman of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, former Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and past owner and publisher of the New York Post.

The team behind the Beverly Hills based television and film production company, Sacred Bull Media consists of C.E.O, Nicholas Kalikow, Producer Diane Richey, and Director and Producer Kyle Roper. Nicholas' producing credits include A Funny Thing Happened at the Quick Mart, The Outdoorsmen: Blood, Sweat and Beers, Sleepwalking Through the Mekong, SXSW audience award winning film Explicit Ills and Last Cup: Road to the World Series of Beer Pong, director credits include Concrete Blondes. Diane Richey's past producing credits include Explicit Ills and Last Cup: Road to the World Series of Beer Pong. The Mirage marks Kyle Roper's directorial debut whose producing credits include The Shallow End (short), Talk to Me (short), and Concrete Blondes.

The "Mirage" will premiere at the Roxy Theatre during the Philadelphia Film Festival on October 24, 2014 at 9:30 P.M. For more information about "The Mirage," please visit www.themiragefilm.com.
