DOVER, N.J., Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today on International Music Day, Casio America, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic musical instruments, is celebrating music by encouraging people worldwide, both young and old, to create and play a tune on a digital piano. Whether a beginner or professional musician, Casio wants people to spread the gift of music on this special day by sharing a musical experience with their loved ones.
International Music Day, also known as World Music Day, began nearly 40 years ago on October 1(st) by the International Music Council, a professional organization dedicated to promoting the value of music in people's lives. International Music Day was founded to encourage musical art among all sections of society as well as the application of the ideals of peace and harmony between people and the evolution of their culture.
"As a major manufacturer of the top digital pianos and keyboards in the industry, we at Casio, acknowledge the importance of International Music Day and its mission to create harmony both in life and music," said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio's Electronic Musical Instruments Division. "With a huge range of features and functions, Casio's Sound eFX series enables people to come together and make lifelong memories by mixing their favorite sounds to create one-of-a-kind songs."
With Casio's new Sound eFX series, people of all ages around the world can blend different sounds together using a sampling function that enables users to take various bits and pieces of music and apply them to another. Long Sampling mode can create one sound up to two seconds and the Short Sampling mode can create up to five short sounds and tones. Both modes offer ten different effects to choose from and with a built-in sampling microphone, users can also use their voice to record samples which can be integrated into the rhythm.
The keyboards are equipped with Casio's Step-Up Lesson system, which have built-in songs that teach users phase-by-phase so they can learn at their own individual pace. With the LCD display, beginners can also learn both music notation and correct hand positioning, while Casio's innovative system evaluates performance so users can track their progress.
Other features include 400 built-in tones, 150 built-in rhythms (including 20 for piano play and 55 world rhythms), 110 songs, and USB capabilities.
