Former Bear Charles Brown Speaks out on NFL Domestic Violence Scandals

Former Bear Charles Brown Speaks out on NFL Domestic Violence Scandals

CHICAGO, Sept. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Charles Brown, former Chicago Bears defensive back, will be Jeffery Leving's featured guest on the Sept. 23(rd) live broadcast of Chicago Counterpoint TV on Channel 21, at 7:30 p.m. (CDT). Brown also played with the Buffalo Bills.

Attorney Elizabeth Demonte will follow Brown's appearance. She will discuss her recent victory where she reunited a Texas attorney with his children after a long and painful separation.

Brown, president of the Chicago Chapter of the National Football League (NFL) Alumni Association, has questioned the response of the league to the allegations of domestic violence against Ray Rice, as well as other scandals rocking the NFL.

"The rulings (game suspensions) appear to be arbitrary and based on public reaction,'' said Brown. "There seems to be no established foundation for the application of the rules," said Brown, who also reflected on two league giants - George Halas and Vince Lombardi. "The rich history of the NFL established by the Halases and the Lombardies commands more."

Leving's next guest, Attorney Elizabeth Demonte is a highly skilled litigator and author who has done significant work on divorce, parentage, child custody, child support and grandparent visitation cases. She will discuss a recent victory reuniting a father with his kids. She has also penned, "Spotlight On: The Nurse-Family Partnership," for the prestigious Children's Legal Rights Journal.
