British actress and film maker Bonnie Wright is casting her magic over Chengdu, the
panda capital of China, to promote the provincial capital of Sichuan province to UK
tourists and help celebrate the first anniversary of British Airways' direct flight
service between London Heathrow and Chengdu.

Bonnie - who, as Ginny Weasley, starred in all the Harry Potter films - is a guest of
Chengdu Municipal Administration of Tourism and Chengdu Culture and Tourism Group,
visiting many of Chengdu's must-see sights on her three-day visit. The highlight of the
trip is a hands-on encounter with adult and baby pandas at Chengdu's famous panda
sanctuary.

Chengdu is the home and natural habitat to the giant panda. Of the estimated 1,000
giant pandas in existence, 85% are in the Chengdu area.

"In its first year, British Airways' direct route between Chengdu and London has
become incredibly popular for both business and leisure travellers to the city of
Chengdu," says Chengdu Culture & Tourism Development Group L.L.C. "I'm sure the route will
continue to grow from strength to strength as tourists realise the wealth of things they
can experience, and the heritage, culture and beauty of Chengdu."

British Airways is the only carrier that offers a direct service between London and
Chengdu and currently flies five times a week.
