Tracey Pearce Appointed Senior Vice-President, Specialty and Pay, Bell Media

TORONTO, Aug. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - Phil King, President - CTV, Sports, and
Entertainment Programming, announced today the appointment of Tracey
Pearce to the role of Senior Vice-President, Specialty and Pay, Bell
Media, effective immediately. Pearce will report directly to King while
overseeing Bell Media's English-language, entertainment and factual
specialty channels and digital platforms, including Discovery, Bravo,
Space, The Comedy Network, Much, MTV, E!, among others, as well as pay
services The Movie Network and HBO Canada. She will also serve on Bell
Media's Programming Council, where she will consult on the overall
acquisition and development strategies for all Bell Media channels.
"Tracey is a well-respected broadcast veteran with extensive
cross-sector experience in all aspects of the business," said King.
"She has been intricately involved with the company's major strategic
decisions and executions for more than a decade, and brings deep-rooted
relationships with both content providers and the independent
production community. We're very happy to have secured Tracey to lead
this increasingly important portfolio."

Pearce joined the company in 2001, and most recently was Senior
Vice-President, Business and Legal Affairs for Bell Media, where she
oversaw all business and legal affairs for programming creation and
acquisitions, as well asacted aslead counsel for Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium. For the
past several years, Pearce has resided in the United Kingdom with her
family, where she continued to support Bell Media in an advisory role,
particularly with the Consortium's broadcast of London 2012.
Prior to her role at Bell Media, Pearce was a partner at Goodmans LLP
focusing on Communications Law including broadcasting,
telecommunications, new media, and cultural policy. Pearce is a
graduate of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law and holds a
Master of Business Administration degree from York University, where
she specialized in arts and new media.
