VIP Celebrity Premiere and Gala August 4th; Proceeds Benefit the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter
BEDFORD, Mass., July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Gallo Strayton and her husband Rob, owners of the Prince Street Cafe and Bakery located in Bedford, Massachusetts, are the featured guests on the one-hour, season finale of TLC's Buddy's Bakery Rescue featuring "Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro, airing on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT. However, you don't have to wait until the show airs to experience why the Straytons are in the national spotlight as connoisseurs of all things savory, sweet and Italian.
On Monday, August 4th, a day before the dynamic baking duo hits the national airwaves, the Staytons will be at the newly refurbished Showcase Cinemas in Woburn to reign over the glitz and glamour at a Hollywood-style, red carpet, advance screening and celebrity gala to benefit the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter. The evening's festivities will begin with a VIP champagne reception at 5 p.m. where guests will enjoy a sampling of Prince Street Cafe and Bakery's gastronomic delights. The exclusive screening will follow at 6 p.m.
Capping off the evening festivities will be a celebrity-fueled gala at the cafe and bakery located at 200 Great Road in Bedford, Massachusetts. It is here that attendees will experience some "dolce," or sweet secret family recipes made from scratch, a hallmark of the bakery. Guests will mingle and dance off the evening's calories under an outdoor tent to the sounds of dance music mix master DJ Mob Boss with special performances by international and national recording artists including; Rock and Roll, Vocal Group and Grammy Halls of Fame members, The Platters, the First Lady of Variety Ms. Carol O'Shaughnessy with accompanist Tom LaMark and a couple of her alter personalities including Mama Scugliachi.
The Straytons selected ALS to benefit from the evening festivities because Valastro's mother has been diagnosed with the disease, and it is the 75(th) anniversary of Lou Gehrig's farewell speech.
Tickets for the red carpet advance screening and gala to benefit the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter are $25 and available at the Prince Street Cafe and Bakery, Showcase Cinemas Woburn Box Office or via MovieTickets.com.
