Harmony Gold Announces That Italian Court Absolves All Defendants In Berlusconi-Mediatrade Case

LOS ANGELES, July 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Harmony Gold USA announced today that on July 8, 2014, after about 2 years and 6 months of trial, and after almost nine years from the starting of the investigations in October 2005, the Milan Court of first instance, section II criminal, in charge of the so-called Mediatrade proceeding, has issued a judgment of acquittal in relation to all charges for all defendants, including Pier Silvio Berlusconi, Fedele Confalonieri, Daniele Lorenzano, Gabriella Ballabio, Giorgio Dal Negro, Giovanni Stabilini, Paolo Del Bue, along with two Hong Kong business women, Paddy Chan and Katherine Hsu, and US producer Frank Agrama.
