Youth Media Industry Celebrates TFO
TORONTO, May 29, 2014 /CNW/ - TFO and its production partners won a
record number of awards at the Prix d'excellence of the Youth Media
Alliance (YMA), held May 27. Of the roughly 15 awards handed out, six
(6) were won by TFO. Groupe Média TFO's educational contents, and in
particular the contribution of Annick Snell, Director of Coproductions
and Acquisitions, Children's and Youth Programming, were lauded by the
industry, that was thoroughly charmed by TFO's digital and television
contents.
Children have always been at the heart of it all for Annick Snell,
winner of the Outstanding Achievement Award. She has proven her flair
for successful multi-platform projects as well as her commitment to
developing quality productions. Throughout her career, she has worked
on many high-calibre productions, such as Motel Monstre, Les jumelles,
Miam!, Au défi and Là est la question!, as well as numerous others. Her
acquisitions reflect the same dedication to quality, with series like
Mouk, Sid le petit scientifique and Le petit royaume de Ben et Holly,
programs that stimulate the quick and lively minds of the target
audience.
"Our vision, when it comes to programming, is based on the educational
quality of our Children's and Youth contents, their variety and the
diversity of the type of programs that we offer our young audience. We
support our audience as it grows and develop a relationship of trust
with their parents so they can navigate through intelligent,
entertaining, and multi-platform programming," explained Annick Snell,
Director of Coproductions and Acquisitions, Children's and Youth
Programming, Groupe Média TFO.
"I'm very happy, but mostly proud, to see that the Youth Media Alliance
has awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award to Annick Snell. Over the
last 15 years, I've been lucky enough to develop a close collaborative
relationship with Annick, who has always shown a flair for youth
programming that is as innovative as it is relevant," stated
