Twin Cities' EPG Wins Security, Medical Contracts for Rock the Garden 2014
Rock the Garden is first client for EPG's newly launched medical division
MINNEAPOLIS, May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- When Twin Cities music fans Rock the Garden this summer, concert-goers will rock under the protective watch of EPG Security Group and its new sibling EPG Event Medical Solutions. Entertainment Protection Group (EPG) has been hired to build the emergency preparedness plan for Rock the Garden 2014, as well as provide security agents and medical personnel for the popular festival, which this year is expanding from one to two days and anticipating attendance of 12,000 people each day.
"We're thrilled to have EPG on board for Rock the Garden this year," said Todd Gregory, security and operations manager for the Walker Art Center. "We take great pride in providing a fun and safe concert for the thousands of music lovers who come to the Walker Art Center."
The Walker has contracted with EPG Security Group for this year's 10-band festival June 21-22, plus set-up starting the morning before and wrap-up the following day - requiring approximately 60 security agents over the four days. EPG Event Medical Solutions will provide about half a dozen EMTs, who will handle first response and triage and will augment local fire departments, police and paramedics.
"I am proud that EPG is going to bring our style of customer-oriented security and medical services to one of the Twin Cities' favorite music events," said Erik Bergling, founder and CEO of Entertainment Protection Group. "And I couldn't be more pleased that Rock the Garden is the inaugural client for our new medical division. We signed the contracts and immediately dived right into building the emergency preparedness plan, with security and medical hand-in-hand."
In fact, contracts are getting signed quickly for EPG's expanding business with its steadily growing security group and newly launched medical and guest services divisions:
-- EPG will handle security for the June 6(th) concert at the Hilde
Performance Center, in Plymouth, Minn., featuring the Gear Daddies and
Gary Louris and Karen Grotberg of The Jayhawks.
-- GermanFest Minnesota, a family-friendly cultural festival held at St.
Paul's historic Schmidt Brewery, has contracted with EPG Security Group
for this summer's event the weekend of June 21-22.
-- EPG Security Group is also lined up for Summer Set 2014, a three-day
music and camping festival held in August in Somerset, Wis.
-- Two EPG Security nightclub clients are in talks to sign on with the new
EPG Guest Services, which will provide ticket-takers, hosts and ushers.
