Short Film Gets Millions of Views on the Eve of Painting Competition

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, India, May 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Short Film Gets Four Million Views as Art Competition Comes to a Close

A five minute film( https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nNmEMz0D5JY ) on an Indian child prodigy, Edmund Thomas Clint( https://www.keralatourism.org/clint ), who died three decades ago, gets more than four million video views across the globe. The child was known for his prolific output and the outstanding quality of his work. In his short life of 2,522 days, he created more than 25,000 pictures. Edmund Thomas Clint, seen as a genius by many, lived for less than seven years at a time when there was only minimal global media exchange.

Thirty years after his demise, Kerala Tourism( https://www.keralatourism.org ) decided to organize an Online International Children's Painting Competition( https://www.keralatourism.org/clint/registration ) in the artist's memory. The short film was made as a promotional vehicle for the contest and was uploaded on to the Kerala Tourism website, http://www.keralatourism.org, as well as to various social media channels. The film has had more than four million views within four months of its launch and has garnered competition entries from all over the world.

Clint was named after Clint Eastwood( https://www.keralatourism.org/clint/clint-eastwood ) by his father, M.T. Joseph, who was a great fan of Hollywood movies. Coincidentally, after Clint's sad demise, Clint Eastwood happened to see a documentary on the work of the child-artist made by Sivakumar, a noted film-maker from India, and stated that he was very impressed.

The Clint Memorial International Online Painting Competition( https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pjszGckqBCM ) for Children, probably the only major online painting competition for children that has ever taken place, has gathered a huge response from the public.

The competition awards generous prizes( https://www.keralatourism.org/clint/prizes ) (like free trips to Kerala for winners and parents from any part of the world) in addition to several other exciting prizes. Prizes are also on offer for volunteers( https://www.keralatourism.org/clint/volunteers ) who promote this competition.

The online painting contest closes on May 31, 2014.

Invis Multimedia( http://www.invismultimedia.com ), the IT consultant and solution provider of Kerala Tourism( https://www.keralatourism.org ) is the official agency for organizing international online painting Competition( https://www.keralatourism.org/clint ) for children.
