"Lynn's creativity, entrepreneurial experience and commitment to philanthropy will be invaluable to PRI as we advance our mission of helping people live more successfully in our interconnected world," says Alisa Miller, PRI president and CEO. "I look forward to the many contributions she'll make as a Board member."
Lynn and her husband, Bruce, whose uncle Kenneth Dayton was PRI's founding Board chair, have long-standing ties to both Minneapolis and to PRI. In addition to her Board service, she serves on committees for Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Community Health, The Second Step (serving survivors of domestic violence), and Lovelane Events and Development (helping children with special needs through therapeutic horseback riding). Dayton says, "I am honored to expand my service to public media by joining PRI's Board. For years, I have been committed to the creation of and access to accurate information and the value of documenting stories. PRI is a leader in this field, and so serving on their Board is a natural fit."
Dayton graduated from Immaculata University, and attended the California Culinary Academy. After moving to Boston with her husband, she became involved in area charities in the fields of public media, education and animal protection. She, her husband and their two children live in the Boston area.
