Company Reveals New Technologies for Broadcasters with Sights on Re-inventing Social TV

LAS VEGAS, April 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- NAB Show -- Wayin, a company that is changing the way that social content and media is delivered, measured and experienced, today announced the launch of Wayin Broadcast. Developed on the heels of acquiring Comenta.TV, South America's premier social TV integration company, Wayin Broadcast was designed to help TV producers, networks, broadcasters and marketers seamlessly leverage social content to generate improved experiences for audiences and advertisers.

Wayin, one of few Twitter Certified Partners with premium access to Twitter's entire database, makes it easy for broadcasters to aggregate, curate and contextualize social media content within their preferred production workflow requirements. The Wayin Broadcast toolset enables users to instantly surface social content based on Twitter conversations and their relevance to specific TV programming. Wayin also maps and filters this content with a deep understanding of the audience's influence, location, and related organic trends.

TV producers and marketers can now better utilize real-time data for advanced audience engagement; on-air, online and in-app. Through a number of live visualizations and direct engagement tools, the Wayin platform helps producers and programmers capture and enhance the moments within and surrounding a show - both on-air and via second screen experiences.

"As former TV producers and marketers ourselves, our broadcast team spent almost a year speaking with TV producers and executives about their pain points, goals, and dream scenarios. We then developed an easy to use and unique suite of tools that provide incredibly powerful insights that can be acted upon instantly. We simplified social TV while also adding new functionality," said Tim Glomb, VP of media and entertainment at Wayin.

Wayin will premiere its innovative broadcast solution at this year's NAB event in Las Vegas. Attendees are invited to experience simultaneous social feeds displayed across a number of broadcast graphics systems through Apantac "Universal" Multi-viewers, all in real-time.

The Wayin Broadcast platform ensures that a broadcast station or network can identify and display various forms of Twitter data on air for its immediate production needs. These visualizations include tweets to screen, hashtag polls, mention counters, heat maps, live graphs, and more.
