Salt Lake Comic Con Hero's Day (Hero's Day) was created to honor all citizen superheroes and to inspire Utahans to observe this day to be a hero within their respective families and communities. Veterans and first responders were honored as part of the ceremony and have been able to purchase FanX tickets at a discounted price.
"We know that our veterans, first responders, family members and friends are some of the most important heroes in our lives," said Dan Farr, Salt Lake Comic Con Co-founder and Show Producer. "Salt Lake Comic Con Hero's Day can now serve as a day for us to reflect and honor all of our everyday heroes with the thanks and recognition that they always deserve, but don't always get."
The inaugural Salt Lake Comic Con, held September 5-7, 2013, set the record for largest convention in the state of Utah. Salt Lake Comic Con FanX is expected to break this record with an anticipated 100,000 attendees. Organizers have more than doubled the floor space at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
"We are absolutely thrilled with the reception that both FanX and our inaugural September Salt Lake Comic Con have received in the community," said Bryan Brandenburg, Salt Lake Comic Con Co-founder and VP of Marketing. "It was important for us to recognize the heroes in our own community. We believe that the super heroes of the big screen, many who come to our convention, can not only entertain, but serve as role models for everyone in our great state. We're so grateful Governor Herbert supported our efforts and supported us with his official proclamation."
Salt Lake Comic Con FanX is running April 17-19, 2014 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. There are over 150 guests and 300 panelists covering all areas of pop culture. Celebrity guests include Chandler Riggs, Karl Urban, Karen Gillan, William Shatner and many more.
FanX Multipasses and single day passes are still available here. VIP tickets are sold out. For more information about Salt Lake Comic Con FanX visit the Salt Lake Comic Con website. For the full guest list, use the FanX Guest Finder.
