LANA'I, Hawaii, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lanai Documentary Film Festival (Lanai DFF) seeks to ignite and lead conversations for worldwide change by empowering the individual. Lana'i will be the premier setting for this festival--a collaborative forum for storytellers, philanthropists, and the leaders of today and tomorrow.

The annual festival (schedule to be announced this fall) will showcase short and feature-length documentaries and direct participants to take tangible action on issues that will impact the world. In addition to the three main areas of focus, including People, Wildlife, and The Planet, there will be several competitive categories awarded not only for artistic merit, but also for films created by global citizens committed to change.
