Syria: Life, Liberty, Dignity For All rally to be Held March 15, 2014
STRATFORD, Conn., March 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dylan Connor will perform this weekend, Saturday March 15, 2014, at the Syria: Life, Liberty, Dignity For All rally in front of the White House. Connor is the only American protest singer selected to be a part of the official event. The rally begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 2 p.m. More info on the event can be found here: www.mar15th.com
In addition to his musical performance, Connor will take part in an event called "Over 100,000 Names, How Many More?" - a reading of the names of 100,000 martyrs, spanning 72 hours, in front of the White House. Connor will be one of the last readers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
As the ONLY American singer to write and record an album solely about Syria and the Syrian struggle, Connor is contributing ALL the profits from Blood Like Fire directly to the Karam Foundation: Karamfoundation.org, a Syrian relief organization based in Chicago. Karam Foundation was founded in 2007 with the humanitarian mission of educating and clothing displaced children in and around Syria.
Feza Feza ("Help, Help"), the second single from the album Blood Like Fire, will be launched this week. The song documents the first days of the Syrian crisis, when non-violent protesters in the southern city of Dara'a were allegedly gunned down in the streets by regime security forces. Connor will join Karam Foundation on their upcoming mission to Turkey to provide educational programs to displaced Syrian children; and deliver in person, the money raised from album sales.
