Over 300 correspondents, photographers, IT-specialists, programmers and other specialists, 84 of whom based in Sochi, will be providing 24 hour coverage of the Olympics in Russian and foreign languages.
"RIA Novosti has always attached great importance to covering the Olympic and the Paralympic Games, and we are honored by the decision to award us the status of Sochi 2014 Olympics Host National News Agency and Photo Pool. RIA Novosti plans to have over 80 journalists and photographers focusing primarily on the Russian athletes in Sochi," Head of RIA's Olympic team Maxim Filimonov says.

RIA Novosti will also use MRMC camera motion control equipment and will present visual content in the most advanced formats, including interactive video and 360° panoramic video.
The best Olympic photos will be projected on Europe's largest media facade, Moscow's Hydroproject building. The Inspire to Win exhibition featuring the best sports photos by RIA Novosti correspondents, will be held in Moscow's downtown streets in December 2013.
The games will be covered in eleven formats, as well as via special mobile applications and websites.
The Second Screen app, created together with Russia's Channel One, is one of RIA Novosti's most advanced products. RIA Novosti will also launch the Sochi 2014 app, created jointly with IOC global partner ATOS statistics operator.
Newsfeed subscribers, the media and other RIA Novosti clients will have access to the new information portal and the Olympic photobank.
