Bilingual NYC Home & Lifestyle Event Excites in New York City
NEW YORK, Nov. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Casa Latina, a bilingual home and lifestyle brand (www.casalatina.com), hosted its first Home Expo on Saturday, November 9(th) at The Altman Building in NYC. The all-day event, which brought Latino families together for information on how-to improve their homes and their lives, was made possible by sponsors Chase, Lowe's, Moen, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Got Milk! and other partners.
The exhibition drew more than 1,000 attendees, lifestyle experts, influential bloggers and top media. Participants had access to expert one-on-ones for tips on home buying, remodeling, decorating and home health in both English and Spanish. They enjoyed cooking demonstrations and Salsa lessons. The environment was upbeat and joyful, and one of the highlights was when a Latina grandma shouted with joy as she won a one year's supply of milk for her family from sponsor Got Milk!
There was even entertainment at the childrens' zone hosted by Vme TV, the 4(th) largest national Hispanic network. "At Vme, we believe in enriching, empowering, educating and entertaining Hispanics with our network. Working with Casa Casa Latina embodies everything that Vme stands for as we continuously raise the bar by strengthening our roots and advancing our culture."

"What a successful and memorable event! It was great to feel the energy and see the enthusiasm of attendees at our Moen booth. We were also impressed with the bilingual environment - all clinics and presentations were in English and Spanish so nobody was left out. We will certainly consider being a Casa Latina Home Expo sponsor again next year," said Andrea Maher, Marketing Communications Specialist, Moen Incorporated.
Ruth Villalonga, Business Development Director for Empire BlueCross BlueShield said, "We were pleased to be part of the Casa Latina Home Expo and the opportunity to connect with New Yorkers seeking to make healthy lifestyle choices and become informed about the benefits of the Affordable Care Act."
