Media General Holds Annual Meeting of Stockholders

RICHMOND, Va., April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Media General, Inc. (NYSE: MEG), a local broadcast television and digital media company, said today that shareholders at the company's 2013 Annual Meeting re-elected eight directors to one-year terms: J. Stewart Bryan III, chairman; Marshall N. Morton, vice chairman; Diana F. Cantor, Dennis J. FitzSimons, Wyndham Robertson, Rodney A. Smolla, Carl S. Thigpen and Coleman Wortham III. Additionally, George L. Mahoney, Media General's president and chief executive officer, was elected to the board, all as set forth in the company's proxy statement.

The appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as the company's independent registered public accountants for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2013 was ratified. The advisory vote on executive compensation carried as recommended.
