"For music lovers, their local record store has always been a place where they could go to engage - to sample, argue, laugh and listen - or to just get lost in music for a few hours," said Tom Hilgeman, brand manager, Beck's Beer. "Record stores are a treasure, one well worth celebrating. So we invite fans of our beer and all music lovers to head to their local record store on Saturday, April 20, to support these institutions and to celebrate the joy of music."
The limited-edition Record Store Day vinyl, created by INgrooves Fontana, features 10 independent artists of unvarying brilliance. They include:

According to Record Store Day founders, the day will feature "performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet-and-greets with artists, parades, DJs spinning records and on and on." Beck's plans to make a special appearance on Record Store Day at stores in Pittsburgh, Pa., Las Vegas, Winston-Salem, N.C., Seattle, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Calif., Philadelphia and Miami.
"Record Store Day brings independently owned record stores, music artists and countless fans together to celebrate the art of music," said Michael Kurtz, founder, Record Store Day. It was the first popular German beer to become truly global, the first beer to embrace a green bottle and a steadfast supporter of artists and entrepreneurs since its founding more than 140 years ago.
