Uplifting Afternoon of Pampering Provided by Disney On Ice and Hair Cuttery
WHO/WHAT:
Ten young girls from Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago will become a "Princess for a Day" through a partnership with Disney On Ice and Hair Cuttery. The youngsters will experience an unforgettable, uplifting afternoon of pampering, including makeovers at Hair Cuttery, princess dresses to wear and keep, a luxury charter bus ride to the United Center, pre-show meet and greet with performers from Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream. Then, they will enjoy the newest thrilling show to hit the ice featuring the ultimate Disney Princess event!
WHEN/WHERE:
Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012
3:30 p.m. - Girls and parents depart James Jordan Boys and Girls Club, 2102 W. Monroe, Chicago
4 - 5 p.m. - Girls receive princess make-overs at Hair Cuttery salon, 2734 N. Clark St., Chicago
5:30 p.m. - Meet-and-greet with Disney characters at United Center, 1901 W. Madison, Chicago
7 - 9 p.m. - Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream, United Center
NOTE:
Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago have provided a safe haven for children from the city's most economically challenged neighborhoods for the past 110 years. The Clubs' after-school programs offer mentoring and help equip youngsters with the skills they need to be confident, caring and productive citizens.
Hair Cuttery is the largest family owned and operated chain of hair salons in the country with nearly 900 salons on the East Coast and in Chicago and New England. Hair Cuttery is a division of Ratner Companies, based in Vienna, Virginia.
Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream is completing a three-week engagement in the Chicago area with shows through Sunday, Feb. 12, at the United Center.
