SpiritClips Honors 9/11 First-Responder Survivors of FDNY Ladder Company 6 with Free Film Showing
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As the world commemorates the 10-year anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, SpiritClips.com spotlights a miraculous story of survival and inspiration. Audiences are invited to a free online viewing of the SpiritClips Original Film LADDER 6, and are encouraged to share the short film with others as a powerful reminder of faith, hope and humanity during adversity.
LADDER 6 depicts the true story of a group of FDNY firefighters from Ladder Company 6, who miraculously survived the World Trade Center collapse because they stopped to help Josephine Harris, an elderly woman who was trapped on a staircase in the North Tower. A blend of animation, booming sound and documentary narrative, LADDER 6 is an impactful film engaging adult audiences, yet still appropriate to share with young children in teaching them about the 9/11 tragedies and survivors.
"Amidst the most tragic of occurrences, one can still find hope and heroism. We are proud to release LADDER 6, a SpiritClips Original film honoring the men of Ladder Company 6 and Josephine Harris," stated Rob Fried, CEO of SpiritClips and producer of uplifting films such as Rudy and Hoosiers. To share this inspirational message, SpiritClips, a subscription-based online entertainment network, has made LADDER 6 available for free viewing and sharing online at their website: http://spiritclips.com/films/laddersix
LADDER 6 (2011, SpiritClips) was written and directed by Chris Commons, and Produced by Rob Fried and Tyrrell Shaffner. Animation by Mika Tanisaki.
