Current contest to provide top music gear to one winning band.

SUNRISE, Fla., Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PickTheBand.com, the world's first fan-run record label has partnered BBE Sound, QSC Speakers, CNL Guitars and On-Stage Stands for an upcoming gear giveaway contest.

Beginning Oct. 25th fans will vote online on picktheband.com to decide the winner. The contest will run through Nov. 14th with a one band winning the gear pack valued at over $3000. Fans are encouraged to vote everyday and can win a variety of great prizes the more they vote. Registration is open now thru Oct 20th.

The video-based contest has been designed to showcase bands in a variety of ways to get the fans to know as much as possible about them. Out of the submissions, the top 15 bands in the contest will be chosen by Pick The Band judges.

The bands are asked to submit the following:

-- An original music video
-- 2 original songs
-- Photos and bio

The Prizes included are:

*4-QSC 1000w K series Powered Monitors and covers*2-G&L Guitars or one G&L bass/one guitar*6-BBE Sound effects pedals: (including Sonic Stomp, Green Screamer, Two Timer, Tremor, Mind Bender, Wah)*1-On Stage Stands Band Package- (including 4-mic stands, 4-boom's, 1-drum mat, 4-mic clips, 2- soft kybd covers, 2 amp stands, 2 kybd stands, cable package)

Created as an alternative to the traditional method of signing and promoting bands, Pick the Band is dedicated to preserving the relationship created by the fans and the artists they love by allowing the fans to have a say in how the artist they love is promoted and marketed. This offers both creative freedoms for the artists as well the ultimate music experience for the fans. Fans pick the single, design the artwork and make the videos. Fan perks include prize trips to major music festivals (i.e. CMJ, Osheaga, SXSW, ASCAP I Create Music Expo), access to artists in studio, backstage passes, and more.

Pick The Band is scheduled to release a full-length CD for an artist discovered through one of their contests, Adam Ezra Group, November 2011.
