This Limited Edition set marries Robertson's music and high art concepts. The musical collaborators included Eric Clapton, Trent Reznor, Tom Morello, Robert Randolph, Steve Winwood and more. The concept for this project came about when Robertson was making Clairvoyant. Acclaimed conceptual artist Richard Prince asked to hear the music and was inspired to contribute ten pieces to the collection. Legendary photo artist and filmmaker Anton Corbijn did a series of clairvoyant and film noire-style pictures with Robbie. Master magician Ricky Jay contributed art from his historic archives, with additional photo-works by Sante D'Orazio, Maureen Lambray and art director David Jordan Williams. This joining of art and contemporary music has rarely been seen since the days of Warhol and the Rolling Stones and Velvet Underground.
The Collector's Set of How To Become Clairvoyant will be limited to 2,500 signed/numbered copies. The shop at the prestigious Gagosian Gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City will play host on Monday, September 19th to an invitation-only signing party.
