Sinclair Broadcast Group Signs Major Contract Expansion With Rentrak

--Sinclair Expands Use of Rentrak's TV Database Currency Measurement System to 12 Markets and 21 Stations--

PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentrak Corporation (Nasdaq: RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the television, advertising and entertainment industries, today announced an expanded multi-year StationView Essentials agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI), one of the largest and most diversified television broadcasting companies in the country. Sinclair first began using Rentrak's StationView Essentials service in 2009 for measurement of seven stations in four markets. The new agreement expands Sinclair's 2011 commitment to 21 stations in 12 markets.

Sinclair Broadcast Group owns and operates 58 television stations in 35 markets and reaches approximately 22% of U.S. television households.
