Rentrak Expands Contract With Olympusat to Include OnDemand Measurement for Its CineMexicano Channel

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentrak Corporation (Nasdaq: RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the advertising, television and entertainment industries, today announced an OnDemand Essentials contract with CineMexicano, the country's top-rated and most popular Spanish-language movie channel. The deal with CineMexicano expands the relationship Rentrak has with parent company, Olympusat, which owns, operates and provides turnkey operational and distribution services for several Hispanic, general market and faith-based network offerings.

Rentrak's industry-leading on-demand database measurement will analyze viewing habits and track data to evaluate and demonstrate viewer interest in CineMexicano content as well as provide a stable and accurate currency for CineMexicano to help attract advertisers to their video-on-demand (VOD) offerings.
