Developers Diversified Realty Launches a Vocal Competition Called 'Sing!'

BEACHWOOD, Ohio, Jan. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Developers Diversified Realty Corporation (NYSE: DDR) today announced a 12-city vocal competition called "Sing!" set to take place online and at 13 Developers Diversified shopping centers in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Sing! is a national vocal competition for choirs, choruses, gospel singers, glee clubs, and independent vocal groups. The national program being announced today will be hosted and broadcast online with live performances in 12 cities at 10 Developers Diversified shopping centers in the United States and three in Puerto Rico. A winner at each shopping center will be selected to vie for a grand prize including a $20,000 donation to the winning group's favorite charity, $5,000 in Developers Diversified gift cards, and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to record a song with two-time Emmy award winning singer and songwriter, Kevin Briody.

Based on current popular talent-based television shows and the success of live performances at the company's premier properties, Sing! will not only promote talent locally, but in conjunction with ShopStar, Developers Diversified's proprietary shopper loyalty program, and social media outlets Facebook and Twitter, consumers all across the United States will be encouraged to vote and follow their favorite acts.
